Back in July I was interviewed by Emboss magazine for their Avant Garde Season and published on their site in brief. It was a great honor as well as nerve wracking. I am one of the artist that shoot from the hip and at times do not know what I am aiming at. I say that in jest and also in utter honesty. Simply I just need to create.
2016 is almost over and I plan on taking things up a notch for 2017. I want to thank Emboss for believing in me and giving me a chance to shine outside of Arizona. All the while placing me on the Arizona map for Fashion and Photography. Arizona in my opinion has a huge opportunity to showcase its art and design and I plan to be a part of it for a long time to come. I love it here and I am looking to collaborate with more designers and creative directors to move thing along and bridge the gap from the outside.
First up more features in more magazines. Work on more projects to accomplish this and work with more models and creative teams to drive the end goal. The key in 2017 is to believe. Believe that it is all possible. To drive creativity and to stay clear of the has been done category and try my best to push the envelope while skating the norm.
I want to thank the creative team behind the feature shoot. To let it be told, the shoot is from 2011 and I worked with an amazing team that allowed it to become what it has become. I was a budding photographer with no name and no idea what I was getting myself into. I just wanted it to be huge and I put the line out and Cindy Verity and Laura New Myers believed. The rest of it is evident.
All I can say to them and the rest of the world. Let’s do it again and better.
Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
