Behind the Scenes : Servous Nystem
Several years ago I worked with an amazing artist out of Phoenix, AZ. The scene was fresh for me, in terms of what was about to take place. It was my first time working with other artist and a model. I have been bit of an artistic nomad so I was curios to shoot. However, I did not know how to voice my artistic vision. I was virtually incapable of putting to words the direction I needed to take. I say that to say this. The shoot that actually took place did not turn out very well do to my lack of understanding of light and how it played a roll in being able to create a solid piece. However, my behind the scenes work does a tremendous job of showing an artist in action and the raw talent that was brought to the table.
The shots are based on my desire to document the moment. A large part of why I picked up the camera in the first place is due to my will to want to capture the moment. The rawness. I am an observer first and a photographer second. What you find in my gallery is based on dedication and effort to create something lasting, what you will find in this message is my love. That core purpose that will always remain.
What you will find in the following images is directly out of my days working on the Blatant Pixels brand. Sadly this is also one of the shoots that I loss to a major malfunction of my hard drive. I no longer own the RAW to create these images to re-brand or even re-edit them. Core lesson learned always back up your work. I lost a great deal of work completed and future projects due to how I disappointed those who expected results. All they received was an excuse and a plea. It has been a long road back. Lesson learned.
